Silverado Supportive Care was born out of a deep recognition of the need for comfort, dignity, and support for those living with life-limiting illnesses. This proud California native and married father of two brings an extensive background in hospice care to Silverado Hospice San Diego. Loren S. Novak, DO is board certified in hospice and palliative medicine and dedicates himself to ensuring patients’ comfort and dignity. He is a member of several medical associations, which allows him to keep current and connected with the latest medical innovations and advancements. Dr. Novak completed his internship and residency at University of California, Irvine.

Kamran Qureshi, MD is a board-certified internist through the American Board of Internal Medicine. He received his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences and completed his residency and internship at Coney Island Hospital. Dr. Qureshi has over 22 years of experience providing medical care and making a difference in people’s lives.
Dr. Qureshi has a deep love for his community and strives to make a positive impact. His patient care philosophy is to always put the patient first.

Michael is an accomplished health care professional with over eight years of experience leading and overseeing daily operations. He completed a dual bachelor’s program from the California State University system and has since utilized his education to make a positive impact in hospice. He has served as a Director of Business Development for a national hospice agency, a Director of Clinic Operations for a large care group overseeing five primary care clinics and one occupational medicine clinic and most recently, as the Regional Palliative Director at Silverado Hospice Coastal Valleys.
Michael is very passionate about healthcare, and especially palliative care. He strongly believes that palliative care increases quality of life by creating an opportunity for members of the community to receive quality and effective care in the comfort of their own home.
Michael is a California native and currently resides in the Temecula Valley. In his spare time, he enjoys camping, boating and riding his motorcycle. Michael also loves spending time with his beautiful wife of seven years, their four amazing boys and grandson.

Mario brings over 14 years of extensive experience in healthcare to the Silverado Hospice team. With a robust background in recruiting, sales, marketing, management and administration, he possesses both the expertise and determination necessary for his role. Additionally, Mario’s direct involvement in hospice spans four years, during which he’s held pivotal roles as Director of Business Development and Administrator across multiple nationally acclaimed hospice agencies.
Passionate about community outreach, Mario is deeply committed to collaborating with local partners to serve those in need, ensuring an enriching experience for our patients. He strongly advocates for the transformative impact of Palliative and Hospice Care on enhancing quality of life and maintaining patients’ dignity.
Mario is a California native and currently resides in Riverside, CA. In his free time, he enjoys going to church, spending time with family and watching his children perform in their respected sports.

Lisa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University-Dominguez Hills and is a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse. With over 24 years of nursing expertise, she has dedicated the last 14 years specializing in hospice and palliative care. Throughout her career, Lisa has held roles such as Hospice Admission Supervisor and Hospice & Palliative Care Nurse Educator.
Lisa’s true passion lies in delivering compassionate end-of-life care to patients and providing crucial support to their families throughout the journey. Beyond her clinical work, Lisa enjoys connecting with residents in our communities and takes pride in educating students and families on topics related to end-of-life and hospice care.

With over 30 years of dedicated service in home health, Christina joined the Silverado family in 2024. Her background encompasses human resources, payroll, scheduling and more than 15 years of office management. Dedicated to enriching lives, Christina is excited to make a difference.
Outside of Silverado, Christina is a proud wife to a retired Marine. She enjoys traveling, bowling and spending quality time with her husband and two dogs.

Yvette joined Silverado fall of 2021, bringing with her 17 years’ experience in the managed healthcare and hospice sectors. Her background includes provider relations, community engagement/outreach, hospice marketing, and management.
As volunteer manager, she seeks to build upon and enrich Silverado’s programs and services while engaging and making certain volunteers not just meet expectations, but have a sense of ownership, worth and fulfillment in their role, whether administratively or through direct patient care. “I want every volunteer to feel good about their contributions of time and talent. I want them to know their value-added service truly makes a difference in the lives of our team and most importantly the lives of our patients and families facing the end-of-life.”
In her spare time, Yvette loves watching period pieces, listening to classical music, peoplewatching, and spending time with the people she loves.
